If you elect me I promise to be approachable, listen to the needs of local residents, report back and represent you to the best of my ability. Paul Braithwaite
Paul Braithwaite to stand for Labour in Kendal Nether
My background
I am 58 year old, originally from Staveley, married with two children and live in Kendal and have done so since 1987. I am a postman and work at Royal Mail in Kendal.
My involvement in politics started with my trade union, leading me to get involved at a local level. I have previously been a councillor on both the Town and District councils.
My pledge to voters
If you elect me I promise to be approachable, listen to the needs of local residents, report back and represent you to the best of my ability.
The new unitary authority poses great challenges but also great opportunities. I want the council to be a Labour Council that delivers services that meet your needs. A council that responds and involves people in delivering the best services.
I hope you can vote for me and I will do my best to deliver for you.
